The green rush has arrived with more than 30 states with medical marijuana & over 10 with personal adult (aka: rec) use. And, what about CBD—it’s everywhere! The plant is big business for sure. That’s not all this ancient plant represents. Cannabis is leading the way for Personalized Lifestyle Medicine. Rather than a gateway drug, as once inappropriately derided, cannabis can be a gateway to health and wellness. Consumers are ready to change the health paradigm to selfcare. That’s why Laura, as an integrative practitioner & educator, co-wrote the curriculum on integrating cannabis with nutrition, aromatherapy, massage, herbal medicine, and other holistic modalities.

How did Laura get to this place? She took the path that her daughter Isabella Speranza—whose name literally means beautiful hope—set. Isabella was diagnosed with epilepsy, apraxia, IDIC-15, sensory integration and executive functioning disorders, and more, which catapulted Laura into a vortex. To emerge from the spiral, mother and daughter embarked of an incredible journey of learning and healing.

With Isabella as her guide, Laura took an integrative, holistic approach to nudging Isabella to live in the world as a happy, healthy, well-functioning member of society. The approaches that the duo tried were both many and diverse—from a ketogenic food plan (long before the keto was a buzz word) to cannabis and hemp oil. Changing health and wellness is never about one single factor. Change happens when you embark on a new journey and explore multiple paths.

That path that Laura took brought Isabella to radical health changes and has helped other clients—both in her private practice and in business consulting with cannabis-related companies.
